The journal “Buddhist Studies” (ISSN 2949-5768) is a scientific-theoretical peer-reviewed journal that summarizes the results of Russian and international Buddhist studies in the fields of philosophical, sociological, and historical sciences. The journal publishes articles and analytical reviews based on original research results.

The journal “Buddhist Studies” is aimed at a professional audience, as well as a wide range of readers interested in the contemporary religious situation in areas where Buddhism is prevalent and the results of research obtained in various fields of Buddhist studies.

The journal “Buddhist Studies” is published twice a year.

Founder and publisher of the journal: Federal State Budgetary Institution of Science “Institute for Mongolian, Buddhist and Tibetan Studies of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences” (IMBT SB RAS).

The journal is included in the “White List” (level 4) and is indexed in the RSCI system.
